To refer a patients for an initial consultation please:
Dr Beamond sees patients covered by private health insurance, DVA and Defence, self-insurance, Workers’ Compensation and Third Party claims.

Workers' Compensation and Third Party referrals are assessed before appointments are offered. Not all of these referrals can be helped by Dr Beamond. 

Dr Beamond does not provide opinions in public liability cases or undertake Permanent Impairment Assessments.

About Referrals

  • All urgent referrals will be assessed by Dr Beamond.
  • A GP referral for a consultation is valid for 12 months.
  • A specialist referral for a consultation is valid for 3 months.
  • If a patient is returning to discuss a new issue within the validity period of their original referral, this requires a new referral. This enables Dr Beamond to be kept up-to-date on the patient’s health and will also enable the patient to be eligible for a Medicare rebate for their consultation.

Both these providers of quality imaging and pathology services are co-located within the Calvary Adelaide Hospital.

If a patient requires imaging or pathology, Dr Beamond's personal assistant is more than happy to book these appointments for patients. Dr Beamond uses most imaging and pathology providers, so there is always one near your patient.

Communicating with the referring doctor and allied health team

Dr Beamond provides detailed communication on all patients to referring doctors, relevant specialist and allied health professionals. 

This is by letter or directly into your practice management software via Argus.
